In 2023, Union KC launched a new program called S.T.A.R.S. (Success Through Adapted Rec Soccer) with the goal of making the game of soccer accessible to ALL. Union KC is paring the expertise of Union KC coaches with that of Special Needs Experts, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists and more. 

So much love and passion has gone into creating the S.T.A.R.S. program and we cannot wait to share it with everyone.

This program was developed by our DOC, Adam Lamb, and his wife Jessica, whose son Oliver has autism. Jess is an occupational therapist for the Lee’s Summit school district, and this program brings both their passions together to help support these unique kiddos by providing a safe and comfortable place to learn developmental skills through soccer and movement while providing a sense of community for parents. We hope the Union KC S.T.A.R.S. Program will bring joy to your families!

Tournament Information

• Date: Monday, April 14, 2025

• Registration and Continental Breakfast Starts at 8:00 AM

• Shotgun Start at 10:00 AM – Limited Teams Available

• Format is a four (4) person scramble and will be flighted after

play is complete with two flights (awards for the first three

positions per flight)

• Every player will enjoy a tournament gift bag, entry into the

longest drive, closest to the hole, putting contest and

professional tee shot (on hole 18), along with a box lunch and

banquet buffet dinner

• Raffles, Auction, Hole and Putting Contests Awards, and Dinner

immediately following completion of play

• Golf attire (collared shirts, no denim and soft spikes) required

• STARS (Union KC Soccer) is a 501c Non-profit (tax exempt

donations) organization
